Brief Description:
The HR Delivery Partner US Commercial Lead will function as a subject matter expert for their function with specialized knowledge and techniques to resolve the most complex employee relations situations and also leading and implementing specific people programs designed by COEs and other broad reaching initiatives across your functions.
The position reports directly to the Global Head of HR Delivery and will work closely across the global HR team including the HRBP team, HR COEs, and HR Operations.
As the lead HR Delivery Partner for your function, you will be required to work closely with your HRBP to understand the functional priorities and requirements from HR Delivery and ensure adequate support is provided from the HR Delivery Team either through you or utilizing the HR Delivery F2W.
This role will work with specific senior managers and heads of department to develop proactive talent outcomes (enhancing recruitment efforts to ensure the right talent is hired, supporting exceptional onboarding and communicating clear role expectations enabling new employees to quickly deliver and perform, supporting employee development and talent retention and enhancing employee engagement and performance). This role will proactively seize the initiative to support their business areas deliver in their corporate objectives through a variety of globally aligned and creative people strategies that enable leaders to build their people capability, design strong organizational structures and manage and develop talent.
Essential Functions
- A good understanding of the organization and particularly your supporting function, its strategy and customers, and an excellent understanding of the people challenges faced by the organization.
- The US Commercial functions tends to have a high volume of ER activity and therefore there is a requirement to be able to manage multiple ER cases, utilizing the F2W team when required through their manager.
- Working closely to support the HRBP for Commercial to understand the functional priorities and ensuring this is communicated to Global Head of HR Delivery for overall HR Delivery planning.
- Escalate themes and climate challenges to HRBP as experienced/pulsed.
- Provide HR Delivery support on key business imperatives where there is a delivery/execution element– i.e. talent review pull through, support senior recruitment, org health support, strategic projects for function.
- Bringing people expertise and delivering solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.
- Understand the supporting functional strategies to help deliver effective HR programs and projects including talent and performance management, compensation planning and driving these to completion.
- Collaborate with the Global HR teams ensuring to leverage the HR operating model fully including: working to support the HRBPs to meet their functional priorities, working with HR Ops to leverage their role fully across Jazz, working on process improvements, HR management tools, implement operational best practices.
- Provide guidance and coaching on people practices and support on a wide range of HR issues to managers in keeping with employment law, our overall HR practices, and workplace culture.
- Counsel and coach frontline to senior managers on proactive leadership and provide advice to create productive and cooperative work environments in line with Jazz values that enhance employee engagement and develop the full potential of our talent.
- Able to influence leaders through impactful questioning and challenge others to get to the root of people and business opportunities and issues.
- Work with HRBP and F2W Delivery Team to manage the implementation of change initiatives to support the achievement of functional goals and organizational growth.
- Lead overall response to employee relations inquiries; conduct and manage the investigation of complaints and concerns within the function, ensuring engagement of local HR where needed; assess the severity of such issues; involve appropriate individuals legal, HR, and business; and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.
- Educate employees and managers on policies, procedures, laws, and standards both individually and in group sessions.
- Proactive use of data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change across key business areas.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- At least 3 years operational knowledge and experience in generalist HR.
- Some HR Projects experience beneficial.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated advising and coaching skills for up to senior level managers.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, establish creative solutions, and determine the optimal course of action in the context of broader organizational strategies and objectives.
- Works well under pressure, meets deadlines, drives projects to completion, and manages the results.
- Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation and management presence.
- Experience working within a global organization with a focus on matrix teams and projects.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters with high integrity.
- Ability to work independently yet be highly collaborative.
- Strong ability to handle people data to inform decisions and key areas on which to focus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR systems (preferably Workday).
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related discipline is required
- HR professional certification is preferred
